Less Than Good News

March 8: Today one of the 3 drugs used to prolong the life of those with ALS was found to be ineffective in a phase 3 trial.

I won’t say this is the most crushing news I’ve recieved in 2024, but it does chip away at my hope to live longer than the average of 3-5 years. The current medication I’m on (at best )prolongs my life by a few months, Relyvrio was thought to add even more time. For a person with a terminal disease months mean everything to you.

So…consider this your reminder to never take a day for granted and to tell those you love that you love them.
